Hedge Fund & Compliance Administrator (Cape Town Central)

Our client, an exclusive Investment Specialist Firm, has an excellent opportunity available in Cape Town for a Bcom Graduate or a junior, qualified professional to learn from the best in an operations support role, providing management, clients, and staff with technical support. The candidate will be responsible for supporting and managing daily operations for the company.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Hedge Funds: - Checking and instructing flows from administrators to prime brokers - Checking and approving monthly valuation, statement & fact sheet - Calculating performance fee split & informing traders - Assisting with management of new product launch requirements - Assist with completing and keeping Due Diligence for funds updated - Opening relevant prime broker trader accounts (BDA, SAFEX)
Private Clients: - Processing transfer requests for individual clients - Sending reports/statements to individual clients - Assisting with queries and general client correspondence
Compliance: - Joining monthly meetings and taking key notes - Assisting with key points as discussed in meetings - Ensuring that representative supervision reports are up to date - Maintaining representative register - Reviewing and ensuring that all policies are up to date
General: - Updating Assets Under Management (AUM) figures for compliance & Reserve Bank reports - Sending daily report with updated AUM figures to management - Assisting with Ad-Hoc tasks and projects - General administration duties in the support of Management
Minimum Qualifying Criteria:
Grade 12 / Matric Certificate
Bcom Degree in Investment Management or Relevant Major
1-2 Year Minimum Experience is preferable
Excellent Communication Skills & Language Proficiency in English
Other Official South African Languages are advantageous
