Our client manages a group of companies with various offices in the Western Cape and several smaller offices operating across South Africa on a project basis. They have developed a need for a vibrant Bookkeeper to join their busy finance department.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Bookkeeping for the full finance function for various entities, including trusts
Responsible for the integrity of the financial record
Set up and administer payments; including wages, service providers, client accounts, debit orders, etc.
Assist Financial Manager to ensure monthly/quarterly deliverables are completed and managed in line with budgets
Review and assist with monthly general ledger reconciliations
Coordinate the preparation of the external audit material
Prepare/review/manage and assess detailed annual budget for companies and departments
Prepare and review financial reports with the Financial Manager
Manage weekly cash flow forecasts
Manage external service providers
Minimum Qualifying Criteria:
Integrity, values & principles with a focus on transparency and commitment
Diploma / Degree with strong Accounting / Bookkeeping focus
3 Years Experience in Similar Role with proven track record
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure
Self-motivated, targeted result and deadline drive
Excel & Pastel skills
Language Proficiency in English & Afrikaans
